and are well-rounded; this adds to the realism and keeps the book
from coming across as preachy. There were a few scenes that
seemed to be resolved too easily and others that were a bit unrealistic
but in spite of this I enjoyed the book. I really liked the way
the author incorporated the seasons theme throughout the story while
presenting encouraging messages about strength over adversity, faith in
God, and overcoming fears."
